Senior Kristina Mischlerwon 1st place for 44th district congressman Ken Calvert's art contest. Her work is going to be in the U.S. Capital in Washington for a year! Please congratulate her when you see her. She is a wonderful example of both a Tesoro student and American.
On Tuesday, May 22, at 7:00 in the Tesoro Theater, for the first time ever, Tesoro's Madrigals and members of orchestra put on a performance of Vivaldi's masterwork, Gloria. The concert will feature four student soloists and the choir, as well as strings, flute, trumpet, and harpsichord. This will be a very unique performance for a high school music program, as these works of music are usually performed by college and professional level ensembles.
Senior Natalie Walters took home 2nd place overall at the Chapman Universities Holocaust art and writing contest. Senior Zack Schuster, along with Natalie was also one of 6 finalists in the art category. Both students will have their art work permanently placed in Chapman's Holocaust center. Please congratulate these students when you see them.
